Oni Akuma is a name given to a powerful, alternate version of the Street Fighter character Akuma. The term "Oni" means demon or ogre in Japanese. This version of Akuma is said to be the incarnation of his Satsui no Hado or "Murderous Intent" state, where his evil power has run unchecked and transformed him into a monstrous being. He was first introduced as a boss character in the arcade game Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition in 2011.
